About Dr. Hammoudeh
Dr. Jeffrey Hammoudeh is Director of the Jaw Deformities Center at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. He holds faculty appointments at both the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the USC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Hammoudeh is also uniquely trained to treat children with birth defects of the head and neck as he completed both a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Hammoudeh started his doctoral training at Northwestern University where he earned a double doctorate in Medicine and Dentistry. He completed internships in oral/maxillofacial surgery as well as general surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush Presbyterian Hospital respectively. He then continued his general surgery training at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital. After completing his general surgery prerequisites training, he continued on at the MGH in the Harvard Program in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery. After completing residency he continued his training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. After completing formal training in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Dr. Hammoudeh sub-specialized in Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial surgery by doing a fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. His interests include craniofacial surgery, vascular anomalies, orthognathic surgery, reconstructive surgery, as well as adult plastic surgery. Now that Dr. Hammoudeh has completed 20 consecutive years of higher education, he has started his practice at CHLA.
Dr. Hammoudeh has co-authored many book chapters covering maxillofacial trauma, reconstruction and general plastic surgery. He has also coauthored several articles for peer-reviewed publications.
