About Dr. Lewin
Sheryl Lewin, MD is the Director of Microtia Reconstruction at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and holds a clinical instructor faculty position in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Lewin specializes in the surgical correction of cleft lip and palate, microtia (small ear) reconstruction and removal of hemangioma and congenital pigmented birthmarks. Dr. Lewin’s research focuses on the clinical aspects of microtia and cleft reconstruction, particularly technical advancements and psychosocial effects of these congenital problems. Dr. Lewin received her undergraduate education at the University of California at Berkeley and her medical degree from Stanford University. After conducting research in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UCLA, she completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Southern California. She then obtained specialized pediatric plastic surgery training through a craniofacial fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
