The Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has provided hope to children and their families for more than a quarter century through our advanced treatment options and compassionate, comprehensive care. One infant in every 500 is born with a craniofacial disorder. Our experienced, interdisciplinary medical team treats patients who range from newborns to 20 year olds. Children come to us for a complete spectrum of conditions resulting from birth defects, traumatic injury and previous medical treatment. They benefit from the convenience of having experts in every recognized pediatric specialty under the same roof, in a family-friendly setting that houses outstanding nursing and allied health professionals, as well as some of the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment instruments in the world. The daily availability of experts in pediatric subspecialties at Childrens Hospital enables us to coordinate and combine surgeries for the benefit of our kids. Our skilled surgeons serve as full-time faculty of the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Our educational programs train the next generation of pediatric plastic surgeons, helping to ensure a new generation of pediatric specialists will carry the torch.
